Abstract

|
|
Supracondylar fracture of the humerus is one of the most comon fracture of elbow in children. Between May 987 and August 1992, authors had treated 128 cases ofsupracondylar fractures of the humerus and 66 patients who were followed more than six
months
were studied.
@ES The results were as follows.
@EN In the displacement of fracture, the Gartland type III was most common(34 cases).
2. The fracture level was divided into 3 group by Marion's method. The functional result was favorable in proximal to olecranon fossa rather than distal toolecranon.
3. For the treatment of supracondylar fracture of the humerus, we believe that several other factors such as severity of swelling, type of open wound and associated injury as well as radiological fracture pattern may contribute to the method
treatment.
